Hello everyone, and as you might know, a lot of rumored sites such as Engadget and Macrumors, have been reporting that a new firmware for the iPhone and iPod Touches is supposed to be released very soon. Those sites were reporting that this update will be released on January 27,2010 at the Apple Keynote, but as we all know that didn’t happen. I personally believe that Apple will not release 4.0 anytime soon. The reason being because Apple usually releases a big product first, such as the iPad, and then a few months later start rolling out with updates. Apple has a track, and this track will not be broken by rumored websites. I have created a YouTube video that explains everything concerning my thoughts and depictions on the iPhone OS future updates. If you would like to check the video out, please visit my YouTube Channel at: http://youtube.com/user/devinsipodhelp. I would love to hear your thoughts in the comments. Thanks for visiting the site and I hope you come back for more technology news and rumors!

Apple will create an iPhone with Touch-Sensitive Casing, just like the multi-touch Magic mouse. This is what Robert Chen claims “analyst of Goldman Sachs”.
Magic Mouse, a computer mouse released in October, has a touch-sensitive solid plastic shell that replaces mechanical buttons. Thetechnology may be replicated in the new iPhone to offer touch-sensitive features on the rear of the handset, Chen said.
He also said that only the back of the iPhone will be Touch-Sensitive. Robert Chen also claims that the next gen iPhone will come with a 5 Mega-Pixel camera and will make an appearance as early as June.

Responding to price cuts from Verizon, AT&T today rolled out new unlimited plans for all devices on its network, including the iPhone. Under the new plans taking effect on Monday, iPhone customers can sign up for unlimited voice and data for $99.99 per month, although texting packages remain separate for an additional fee. The unlimited voice and data plan represents a $30 discount from the previous unlimited plan for the iPhone.
“All smartphone customers, including iPhone customers, may now buy unlimited voice and data for $99.99. For smartphone customers with Family Talk plans (prices assume 2 smartphones), unlimited voice and data is now available for $179.99. Texting plans remain unchanged at $20 for unlimited plans for individuals, $30 for Family Talk Plans.”
Existing customers will be permitted to change to the new plans as of Monday via AT&T’s website, with no monetary penalty or extension to contract terms. It is unclear at this time whether there will be any adjustment to AT&T’s non-unlimited plans to reposition its pricing tiers in relation to the new, lower unlimited price.

Just recently the Google Nexus One was announced by google. This phone is supposedly the next iPhone-killer. It has a lot of things the iPhone doesn’t. For one it can take pictures and record video at 720×480 a stunning resolution for phones. This phone also can run faster than the iPhone clocking at a speed of 1Ghz with it’s SnapDragon processor. The iPhone (3GS) only clocks at 600Mhz. And with this processor come better graphics. This phone comes with live wallpapers that really shows off this capability. Click the link below to see what I’m talking about.
Nexus One: Live Wallpaper
The Google Nexus One will be available on T-Mobile for $179 with 3G and comes with a 2 year contract. If you are on AT&T and want this phone you can get it unlocked for any GSM carrier for $529. The only thing is, it doesn’t support AT&T 3G banding so you will have to deal with edge.
And after all this you still need more information go to http://www.Google.com/Phone/

FOXNews.com claims to have received confirmation from a “source inside Apple” that the company will in fact be holding a media event on January 26th in San Francisco. According to the source, the “big” event will focus on the “mobility space”, suggesting an iPhone, iPod touch, or, as many people expect, tablet announcement.
Following a Financial Times report that Apple has scheduled a special media event for January 26th in San Francisco, I’ve spoken to a source inside Apple who confirmed a “big” event for January.
While nothing official has been handed down from the notoriously tight-lipped company, my source took the Financial Times report one step further by saying this event will focus on the mobility space, meaning we’ll see something related to the iPhone/Touch product line.
Anticipation has continued to build as Apple appears to be coming closer to the long-rumored release of its tablet device. While the company has remained silent about any possible launch of such a device, rumors and tidbits of information, including recent discoveries suggesting that the device may be called the iSlate or iGuide, have fed the frenzy of anticipation.

iPhones.
this year, several pieces of evidence from the internal computer sales system for Canada’s Rogers Wireless suggested that an 8 GB iPhone 3GS was in the works, although Rogers representatives claimed that the listing was an error and no such model has appeared in the months since. Early last month, a new report claiming that AT&T was looking to deploy an 8 GB version of the iPhone 3GS before Christmas also surfaced, but again nothing materialized.
A new report from German forum apfeltalk.de, discovered by Electronista, has revived the speculation with news of a user who ordered a refurbished 8 GB iPhone 3G and received the proper model but in a box carrying a label reading “iPhone 3GS v2.2, 8GB”.
“After buying a refurbished 8GB iPhone 3G, the Hamburg resident received the promised device but with a label on the back pointing to an “iPhone 3GS v2.2, 8GB.” The model (A1241) and part number (MB490DN/A) point to the older model, but “iPhone 3GS” appears elsewhere on the packaging and implies that its mention wasn’t a mistake.”
It is unclear why such a label mentioning “iPhone 3GS” in several locations would appear at this time on a plain white box used for refurbished iPhones.

Apple has rent the Yerba Buena Center in San Francisco for Jaunary 25th, 26th and 27th. The last time Apple used the Yerba Buena Center was to launch the new iPod line. The rumors say Apple is going to give a “major product announcement” on January 26th. Analyst Gene Munster thinks people are a little too optimistic since it’s not entirely sure if Apple is really going to plan an event during those days.
“We believe there is a 75 percent likelihood that Apple will have an event in January and a 50 percent chance that it will be held to launch the Apple Tablet,” he wrote in a new research note. “If Apple announced the Tablet in January, it would likely ship later in the March quarter.”
We’ll have to wait and see what will happen in January, but I can’t help to get excited about these kind of rumors.

According to new rumors it is very likely the next generation, released next year, will have a 5 megapixel camera. OmniVision Technologies is said to produce around 20 million 5-megapixel sensors for the iPhone and next year it will be be even more: 40 to 45 million pieces.
OmniVision Technologies is the company behind the 3,2 megapixel CMOS-sensors for the iPhone 3GS. The company has already delivered 65 million camera-sensors for the iPhone and the iPod nano to Apple in 2009. Thanks to this huge order by Apple, OmniVision Technologies has become a profitable company again.
The expectation is that the new iPhone and its new iPhone OS will be presented next summer during WWDC.
